  • About our designers

  • AVDW

“IF YOU CAN LAUGH TOGETHER, YOU CAN WORK TOGETHER.”

    A
few years ago she was stunned by South African Lesotho-blankets which led to
the MANTA collection. Thanks to the colorful, one of a kind signature coats,
the ADVW brand took off.  Annick keeps
travelling the world, sourcing exquisite textiles and interesting artifacts.
Together with her daughter Romée she builds the AVDW universe on beauty.

  • Benjamin Benmoyal

As a former commando paratrooper, he wanted to transcribe in his work the will to recover the naivete lost during his military service. Therefore, he has created a very unique fabric, woven out of his childhood VHS and audio cassette tapes. All the other fabrics used in his collections are coming from haute couture houses’ deadstocks.

He has industrialized this weaving technique and gathered thousands of kilometers of magnetic tapes thanks to the help of recycling charities as well as by collecting the dead stocks of factories closed in the 2000s. Benjamin draws inspiration from his Moroccan origins by focusing on volumes and drapings from traditional outfits as well as by weaving colourful striped fabrics reminiscent of Berber craft and aesthetic.

  • Taller Marmo

Taller Marmo, as a concept, was born in Italy to be based in Dubai: A bridge between the European elegance and the Middle Eastern charm. Inspiration is drawn from the conversation between the nostalgia of the past and from contemporary culture. Made in Italy, the brand’s collection merge minimalistic Italian tailoring with Arabic traditions.

The brand’s design philosophy is embedded into its name: Taller, the Spanish word for manual work, the laboratory, the artisan, the authenticity of the handcraft; and Marmo, the Italian word for marble, fine material and Italian excellence that metaphorically refers to luxury, exoticism, decadence and tradition.

  • Rowen Rose

Both countries infuence the brand's DNA, as well as Emma Rowen Rose's cultural background, as a Parisian born and raised by a Spanish and Polish family.

Ambivalence, countraries and complexity are part of the brand's essence: elegant yet modern, daring yer traditional, feminine yet masculine, Rowen Rose plays with stereotypes and aesthetics to create its own.
